Chisinau, March 5 (Infotag). The “Our Home is Chisinau” public Association considers that the authorities ordered the Ministry of Justice to eliminate this organization.

Association Chairman Oleg Oniscenco said at a press conference in Infotag on Monday that at the end of 2006 various state institutions examined this organization.

“The Ministry of Justice revealed certain insignificant shortages, which we removed and in the middle of January 2007 we sent an information letter to the ministry on this issue. At the same time the Ministry of Justice sent a letter to the Chamber of Appeal, where it demands to suspend the activities of our organization”, Oniscenco said.

According to him, Minister of Justice Vitalie Pirlog was told by telephone to do everything he wanted, so that nobody should hear anything any longer about this organization.

Oniscenco considers that the reason for such pressing lies in the association’s repeated statements, aimed against the authorities.

“It is exactly the one thing and the second one is that tens of thousands of Chisinau residents support us and it makes the authorities to be afraid of us”, he remarked.

Oniscenco denied rumors on his intention to be a candidate for the Chisinau Mayor’s post.

“If I had wished it, I had made a respective statement and had set up a political party. In the near time a sitting of the Association will take place, where we shall decide, what we can do in order to make the public employees hear us and care more for the Chisinau residents”, he remarked.

The Association Chairman is sure that he will prove in the court that he removed all the shortages, revealed by the Ministry of Justice. Otherwise, “Our Home is Chisinau” will defend its rights in the European Court of Human Rights.

“Our Home is Chisinau” was set up on October 1, 2004.
