27.09.2007 DP YOUTH SKEPTICAL ABOUT FILAT’S PROJECT

Chisinau, September 27 (Infotag). The Democratic Party’s youth organization presumes the political project launched recently by MP Vladimir Filat, the former Deputy Chairman of the DP parliamentary faction, is devoid of a perspective.

The “Democratic Youth” Chisinau city organization convened a news conference in Infotag today and stated, in particular, that their young colleagues, who quitted the organization and followed Filat, will yet regret that step.

Youth organization secretary Victor Zubcu said at the news conference, “In recent years, the Moldovan political arena has seen the pompous emergence of quite many projects, such as the European Party, Furnica, Plai Natal, and all of them have suffered a resounding failure”.

Zubcu further held, “The political project of Filat’s is not clear. Nobody would care to explain what this liberal enterprise is going to be like. There are not so many active politicians in Moldova, so Vladimir Filat will have to steal them from other parties. May be Filat paid to the young Democrats for their joining him”.

Organization chairman MP Oleg Tulea stated that not 37 persons, as was stated by Filat’s comrades, but only 11 quitted the 3-thousand-member youth organization, and that “the list of signatures of the runaways was a fake. Some people, indicated in the list, do not exist at all. Others just did not have the faintest idea about what they were signing. All in all, not more than 80 young people abandoned the Democratic Party ”.

Renat Palamarciuc, a young democrat, stated that Filat guys invited him for negotiations, and “they offered to me to come over to Filat’s project, and promised various posts. I said no, for my hero is Oazu Nantoi, and I shall quit the Democratic Party only together with him”.

The youth organization activists voiced regret over Filat’s departure, but nevertheless wished him success.
