A new Moldovan airline company, “Fly One”, has appeared on the country’s air transportation market to fly to European countries and Russia.

 

At the Monday’s news conference at Infotag, its head Nicu-Adrian Berla, a professional pilot from Romania, who has a many-year flight experience on aircrafts of different types, said the Fly One was created in September 2015.

 

“The primary capital accounted for 4 million lei. We also received a special code, which allows conducting activity and carry out transportations. As of today, different trainings are held, as well as the work on attracting clients by means of ensuring quality and safe flight”, he said.

 

According to him, it is important for the company that its employees to be professional, while prices - competitive.

 

“We will not allow anyone to exert pressure on us, The company has 2 rented Airbus A320 airplanes with the capacity of 180 places each . The first flight was carried out to Antalya on April 28. Tickets may be booked starting with May 25”, Berla said.

 

The Fly One airlines prepared 11 flight routes. Out of them, regular flights will be conducted from Chisinau to Verona, Florence, Barcelona, London, Lisbon, Dublin, St. Petersburg and Voronezh. While charter flights, in cooperation with tourist operators, will be flying to Antalya, Heraklion, Rodos.

 

The first flight – from Chisinau to Heraklion is scheduled for June 8, to Moscow and Rodos – for June 10, to Voronezh – June 20, to Saint Petersburg – on June 21, to Parma – June 23, Verona and London – June 27, Barcelona – June 28, Lisbon – June 29, Dublin – June 30.

 

“We already have the information on forthcoming flights, the flight schedule has been achieved on servicing our aircrafts by handling and catering services, slots in foreign airports have been allocated to us. Contracts with Moldovan and foreign countries partners have been signed”, Berla said.

 

He expressed hope that the Fly One will have a high passenger flow and with time will reach 1 million per year.
