"NORDGAZ FURNIZARE” TO START FROM DECEMBER 1 GAS SUPPLIES AT 10 LEI TO PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS IN GAGAUZIA
From December 1, the social institutions from Gagauzia (schools, kindergartens, hospitals) and possibly in Taraclia will start to receive gas supplies at 10 lei per cubic meter. This was announced on Friday at a press conference in the agency "INFOTAG" by the director of the gas supplier company “Nordgaz-Furnizare”, Alexandr Grosu.

According to him, just the day before the company held a meeting with the operator of "Gagauz-Gaz" and handed over the necessary documentation to "Taraclia-Gaz".

On December 1, the company plans to start supplying gas at a reduced price only for public institutions. According to him, the final price, including VAT and other expenses, will be about 12 lei (compared to 18.2 lei per cubic meter nationally). Household consumers will not be affected. However, Grosu said the company plans to open a call center to receive applications from household consumers. He said that Gagauz residents are showing increased interest in switching to a new supplier, and calls are already coming in.

""Nordgaz-Furnizare" has signed a contract with Turkey's "Zen Solar Enerji" to supply 100 million cubic meters of gas.  The Turkish company has already made an advance payment of 3.5 million euros to fulfill the contractual obligations for supplies," the company's head informed.

He also explains the lower gas price by the fact that this gas was purchased at summer prices, which varied around 250 dollars per thousand cubic meters. (Taking into account the mentioned price in June, in the published "contract" on the website of the Gagauz bashkan the price is 160 euros (171 dollars) per 1 thousand cubic meters of gas including delivery to Moldova - "I.").

Grosu did not answer the question about long-term guarantees of maintaining the reduced price and stability of gas supplies. At the same time, the head of “Nordgaz-Furnizare” said that the company has three preliminary contracts with European companies for gas supplies, but did not name them. He promised that the company would hold a press conference every Friday to inform the public about the gas supply.
