SOCIALISTS REJECT STATEMENTS BY RENATO USATII THAT "CAN BE USED AS PRETEXT FOR FABRICATING CRIMINAL CASES"

Socialists categorically reject the statements of "Our Party" leader Renato Usatii, which, in their opinion, "can be used as a pretext for fabricating criminal cases". In a press conference at the INFOTAG agency, the chairman of the PSRM territorial organization in Balti, municipal councilor Maxim Morosan, his deputy, Serghei Grama, municipal councilor, former Minister of Internal Affairs, Pavel Voicu, told about this.

They categorically rejected the statements made the day before by Renato Usatii about the involvement of some representatives of the Party of Socialists in organized crime and drug trafficking, considering them "unsubstantiated."

"This is all done to vilify political opponents. I believe that yesterday's speech by Usatii is a signal for law enforcement agencies to untie their hands and start detaining, searching and fabricating criminal cases against me and my entourage. I will not be surprised that in the near future searches will be conducted at me and my colleagues, based on Usatii's fake statements, as a result of which various prohibited substances and items that were planted may be found. To put pressure on me as a promising aspiring politician," Morosan stressed.

He emphasized that "he has never been held criminally liable and has not been involved in any criminal investigations either on the territory of Moldova or Russia."

The socialist also believes that "in yesterday's circus under the guise of a briefing, Renato Usatii talked himself into several criminal and administrative cases, including for espionage and state treason, when he himself personally claims that during his activity in Moldova he interacted with the special services of the Russian Federation, following the instructions and orders of high-ranking officials of the Russian special services."

Morosan promised to release "additional audio and video recordings confirming Usatii's interaction with criminal elements" in the near future.
