MAIB TRANSFERRED ITS FOURTH TRANCHE TO FUND FOR SUPPORT OF REFUGEES FROM UKRAINE

Moldova’s largest financial institution – the maib bank – transferred in June to the Fund for Support of Refugees from Ukraine its fourth tranche in the amount of 503,570 lei. Earlier, the bank announced its intention to transfer 10 million lei to support the refugees this year.

The maib leadership told Infotag that 457,360 lei were collected from customer transactions made using maib cards, and 46,210 lei were donations to a special Help Ukraine account, which were made throughout May through the Maibank Application and self-service terminals.

The total amount of four maib tranches amounted to 2.88 million lei. These funds were transferred to a special fund opened by the government to support Ukrainian citizens on the territory of Moldova.
