Chisinau, November 24 (Infotag). The Association for Correct and Lawful Elections, founded only in September 2005, will delegate its 15 observers to the November 27 elections of Chisinau Mayor. The Central Electoral Commission has already registered the observers officially, it was said at a news conference in Infotag today.

Association leader Igor Vassiliyev state at the conference, “There exist about 20 non-governmental organizations of that kind in Moldova. Most of them consider themselves to be European-orientation formations. As for us, we have no orientation of such kind. We are just honest, decent people”.

The Association will delegate its representatives also to the December 11 parliamentary elections in Transnistria.

“We just work for free and correct elections, for the equality of all candidates’ rights, and we hope that with our help and efforts, this trend will eventually become a reality here”, said the Chairman of the non-governmental organization uniting 20 activists.
