Chisinau, July 11 (Infotag). The Moldovan bikers will set up a public organization “The Association of Bikers of Moldova”.

Leader of the Eagles bikers’ club Vitalii Slonoschii said at a press conference in Infotag on Tuesday that its objective is to unite all professional clubs of bikers and motorists which were formed by amateur organizations.

“The bikers’ movement is not new for Moldova, it exists for about seven years, it propagates a special driving and life style, culture of road traffic and preventing accidents. It is a public organization which is set up to unite bikers’ and motor clubs for the speediest achievement of the objectives”, he said.

The association will include at least eight clubs, including Motorlife MMC, Born in the USSR, Free Bikers, Eagles, Dragracing, Nordracing, Japan Cars and Extrimracing. There is no exact hierarchy, mechanism of paying entrance or membership fee.

According to Slonovschi, the association strives to divert young people from unfavorable social factors, in particular, from crime, drugs and alcoholism in order to learn them to live a different way, to like technique and driving and to observe traffic rules.

“The Moldovan bikers’ movement is a special brotherhood, in the road we help each other and to any motorist in trouble”, he underlined.

One of great actions of the association will be the Mega-Motor-Show in the Cahul airport next Saturday. People will see a live motor show, figure driving, drifting and unique motor tricks. In the evening, a rock concert with the participation of famous rock groups will take place in the center of the city.

It is planned to arrange similar shows also in August in Balti, and in September in the Transnistrian village of Malovata. The association will also participate in the President’s race dedicated Moldova’s Independence Day on August 27.

Slonovschii said that the Bikers’ Association of Moldova is establishing relations with non-governmental organizations, local authorities and relies on government assistance in erecting a special track for bike and motor races. The total cost of the track will be about $ 5 million. According to the association, for the last year about 500 expensive motorbikes were imported into Moldova.
