Chisinau, November 22 (Infotag). The family of killed businessman Petr Sara presented new proofs, confirming Parliamentarian Vasile Iovv’s involvement in the crime.

In particular, Sara’s son Constantin said that immediately after their statement two weeks ago tax inspectors arrived from Ukraine, They said that on the construction site of the section of the Odessa-Kiev highway the building machinery, belonging jointly to the Saris and Iovv began to be urgently sold.

“I had to address to the Chisinau Prosecutor’s Office, to the Center for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption in order to terminate illegal actions by Iovv’s representatives – certain Bolotin and Taran. It seemed to me that the deception and non-payment scheme, which was used once in the scandalously famous case of the construction of the Chisinau-Saratani highway, was similar. By the way, this affair has not been cleared until this day”, Constantin said.

Petr Sara’s family expressed gratitude to President Vladimir Voronin for resuming the investigation of the murder case.

“I submitted audio recordings, my father made shortly before his death. They reveal, who and how financed Iovv, when he competed for the Chisinau Mayor’s post. As the latter one asserts, the court only can decide, whether it is truth or lie”, Sari’s junior son Evghenii underlined.

The Saris confirmed the facts of Iovv’s illegal action in appropriating Petr Sara’s shares in a number of Moldovan enterprises, in particular, those in the Tomai winery. Petru Sari’s sons expressed hope that the case of their father’s murder will be considered impartially and brought to its logic end.

Sari’s body was discovered in the Paris Street in Chisinau late on July 28. He was killed from a pistol. It was thought that the murder can be caused by the deterioration of relations between competitors in the re-distribution of property in Gagauzia, in particular, Vulcanesti and Comrat wineries. Sari held about 40% of shares in the Vulcanesti winery and had some shares in the Comrat winery. A meeting of the shareholders of this winery was slated for July 29. Petr Sari was the Director of the Asidcons building company – former Transconstructia. At the end of the 90ies he was the Chairman of the board of the bankrupt Oguzbank. In 1997 he was recognized “the Businessman of the Year”.
