Chisinau, February 8 (Infotag). The Association of advertising agencies demanded from the Chisinau Municipality to annul the agreement, concluded at the end of January 2007 with the Epa Media company.

Auquarelle company’s representatives Liudmila Andronic motivated it at a press conference in Infotag by the fact that this agreement will cause the bankruptcy of the companies, dealing with street advertising in Chisinau.

“In accordance with the concluded agreement Epa Media pledges to arrange 300 public transport stops in exchange for granting 2.1 thousand advertising place to it. More than 2 thousand advertising panels have been already installed in the city”, Andronic said.

Varo-Inform Director Serghei Hasanov considers that the tender was of a doubtful character, it was not announced, and it was conducted on a non-alternative basis. Moreover, former Acting Chisinau Mayor Vasile Ursu signed the agreement with the Epa Media company without having agreed upon it with the Chisinau Municipality.

Hasanov asserts that Varo-Infrom wanted to participate in the tender, but it was rejected under the pretext of being late.

“We demand that the respective investigative bodies should investigate this case and cancel the tender’s results, that a working group with the participation of the interested sides must be set up to analyze the situation and to work out the Regulations for conducting respective contests”, Varo-Inform Director said.

The association members remarked, if the Chisinau Municipality does not come to agreement with them, they will appeal to the court against the tender’s decision.
