Chisinau, February 28 (Infotag). The EPAMEDIA company, which won the tender, announced by the Chisinau Municipality, will begin the construction of 300 public transport stops in Chisinau in a month, it was said at a news conference in Infotag today.

Executive Director of the EPAMEDIA branch office in Moldova Tino Geruin said that more than €1 million will be allocated for this purpose.

Tino Geruin remarked that these will be European-type stops and their objective will be to provide illumination, heating and advertising, which is different from the present advertising. The similar stops will be built in the Chisinau outskirts, where there is a lack of them or where they are in a bad state.

He said that in accordance with the concluded contract, the company is empowered to install 1.2 thousand of advertising city-light posts of various sizes.

The Executive Director of the EPAMEDIA branch office said that they shall make stress on both local and foreign advertising. They want to present the advertising of other goods, which are not so familiar to Chisinau citizens. They are already having talks with various European companies in order to conclude agreements and in the near time, they shall unveil their tariffs.

Tino Geruin underlined that they do not strive to monopolize the advertising market, they were earlier accused of this by the Association of Advertising Agencies of Moldova.

As he said, they strive to have serious competitors, as in this way they can prove that they are the best ones.

EPAMEDIA Director General Heinrich Schuster said that his lawyers reassured him that the tender, conducted by the municipality was absolutely lawful.

According to him, if something had been not in order, the company had not risked to begin such dealing in Moldova, as they were going to invest more than €8 million, Schuster said.

He expressed his satisfaction with Moldova’s investment climate. Schuster is sure that in the near time other Austrian companies would like to make business in Moldova.

At present EPAMEDIA has 12 branch offices in Europe (in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Hungary, last year the company’s turnover accounted for €145.3 million.
