Chisinau, March 27 (Infotag). The Moldovan Conservative Party has announced the nomination of their candidate for Chisinau Mayor – the Chairwoman of the party’s Chisinau city organization, professor of Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacology Dr. Zinaida Zorina.

Party leader Natalia Nirca told a news conference in Infotag today that Mrs. Zorina “is the most suitable candidature for this post”. In her words, Zinaida Zorina is a very responsible person, knowing life very well. She graduated from Presidential Academy of Public Governance, and possesses knowledge necessary to manage the capital city. She has a very well prepared, professional team – people with spotless biographies, who will be running for the Chisinau Municipal Council [city legislature].

Nirca said the Conservatives had declined other parties’ invitations to nominate a common candidate for Chisinau Mayor because “…we are a young, active and uncorrupted party, so we do not wish to be used by somebody. We shall stand for the June 3 all-republican local elections as an independent force”.
