Maib's Supervisory Board and CEO have decided to donate their full salaries for February, alongside a substantial donation from all the members of the management board.

The bank's decision says that a portion of the fees on all the bank's card transactions made through POS terminals or online will also go to help the people who left their homes.

"Maib will donate a fixed amount per each transaction made on maib debit or credit cards via POS terminal and E-commerce payment. Cardholders wishing to support this initiative can use their cards for payment more often thus maximising the amount donated to refugee support fund. Such transactions are commission free for the card holders. The total amount of donation is estimated to be around MDL 10 million in 2022," the bank's statement reads.

The quoted document notes that the first donations will be made on the basis of transactions made in February.

"All donations will be transferig to the refugee centre and will be disclosed at the end of each month. Now maib will transfer all donations to the refugee support fund," notes the bank.
