The country’s largest financial institution, the maib, has announced the launch of a public offering of 65 million lei ($3.5 million) municipal bonds issued by the Chisinau Primaria [city government]. The nominal value of one bond is 1,000 lei, and the circulation period is seven years.

The issuer intends to invest the funds raised through the bond placement in the modernization of the Chisinau trolleybus fleet in order to provide citizens and guests with high-quality transport services.
 
The bank’s offer will be valid March 7 through March 28.
