ANRE DECIDED ON ANOTHER REDUCTION OF GAS TARIFFS

The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) decided on Thursday to reduce regulated supply prices and gas tariffs. It also analyzed the calculations of Moldovagaz JSC and recognized the presence of objective factors to reduce the forecast of the average annual purchase price of natural gas from 518 dollars per 1000 m3 to 482.5 dollars.

According to the decision of the ANRE Board of Directors, the average natural gas supply price will amount to 10,049 lei per 1000 m3 - 1,087 lei or 9.8% lower than the current one. At the same time, it is 46 lei or 0.5% lower than the price requested by Moldovagaz.

For end consumers, particularly for households, the tariff will be reduced by 1.24 lei, to 12.15 lei per cubic meter (without VAT). Including VAT, the tariff will be 13.12 lei per cubic meter.

The new prices are expected to come into force already on Friday, May 3, after publication in the Official Monitor.

They were last revised in February, when they also decreased, in particular, for household consumers from 18.07 lei (including VAT) to 14.47 lei (including VAT).
