RUSSIA SAYS IT IS NOT EXPELLING MOLDOVANS MASSIVELY

The Russian Embassy in Chisinau has refuted media stories that Moldovan gastarbeiters are allegedly being expelled from the Russian Federation on a mass scale, along with migrant workers from other countries. The Embassy wrote in its press release that this information does not correspond to the reality, and that the Federal Migration Service applies such sanctions only to foreign citizens who have exceeded their limit of stay in the country, or who failed to get registered with the federal migration authorities, or who violate the law.
