MCP PUTS OFF ITS “MARCH TO CHISINAU” FOR TWO DAYS

14 november, 2013

The opposition Moldovan Communist Party has announced a decision to put off its “march to Chisinau” for two days – until November 23.

MCP leader Vladimir Voronin stated to the press on Thursday that local rallies and meetings, to precede that “national march”, will begin on November 21 in all raions [districts] and villages of the republic, where local residents will be demanding the CEG Government’s resignation.

And this nation-wide action of protest will be crowned with a big ‘march to Chisinau’ and with an impressive rally in the capital city’s central square on November 23, said Voronin.

“We’ve got information that the law enforcement have received an order from Chisinau to oppose to the massive rally in Chisinau. Should this really happen, we shall sue responsible officials in court”, said Voronin.
