RULING COALITION READY TO SHARE THEIR MANIFESTATION EXPERIENCE WITH COMMUNISTS

15 november, 2013

The ruling Coalition for Pro-European Governance is warning the opposition Communist Party against the impermissibility of public disturbances in the course of the so-called “march to Chisinau”, which the Communists are preparing for November 23, “and we are ready to share our manifestation organization experience with the Communists”, CEG representatives stated to the press on Thursday evening after the parliament plenary meeting.

Parliament Chairman Igor Corman refuted the statement, made this week by MCP Chairman Vladimir Voronin, that the police had allegedly received an order from Chisinau to impede the march and rally organization and holding.

“The Communists started making such statements yet before we had learnt that their march will take place on November 23, i.e. later than was initially projected. They make statements, then change dates, then make new statements. I think there is no need for commenting this absurdity”, said Speaker Corman.

Chairman of the parliamentary Liberal Democratic faction Valeriu Strelet offered an opinion that the Communists are making such statements “to be on the safe side in case the Communist rally fails”.

“The Communists often declare their grandioso plans, which often come to bring quite moderate results. Their accusations concerning the police are but slander. The Communists are trying to revive their artificial struggle against Moldova’s Euro-integration, so they are looking for arguments to somehow justify their would-be failure allegedly because the Ministry of the Interior prevented the people from coming to Chisinau”, said Strelet.

“The Communists should take example from us – from how we organized a massive rally in Chisinau on November 3. We stand ready to share our experience with them”, said the Liberal Democrat.
