MOLDOVA SCORES DRAW IN FRIENDLY FOOTBALL MATCH WITH LITHUANIA

19 november, 2013

Moldova’s national football team captured a 1:1 tie in a friendly match with Lithuania played on Monday in Chisinau. Although only less than a half of those 10.5 thousand seats of the Zimbru stadium were occupied by supporters, Moldovan President Nicolae Timofti was present at this game. For the first time ever in the history of Moldova’s national team, a Brazilian player took part in the game. Silva Henrique De Sousa Luvannor (born May 19, 1990), commonly known as Henrique Luvannor, is a Brazilian footballer, who plays for Moldovan club Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldovan National Division. Luvannor obtained Moldovan citizenship, and in November 2013, he was included in the large list of footballers of Moldova national football team for the friendly match against Lithuania. Moreover, the Moldovan Football Federation did not help him get Moldovan citizenship. He received the Moldovan citizenship due to the fact that he is married to a Moldovan woman, with whom he has a son. Moreover, Enrique managed to pass his citizenship tests by himself.
