ABOUT 15 MILLION LEI ALLOTTED FOR MOLDOVA’S REINTEGRATION IN 2013

The overall financing for the country’s reintegration in 2013, has been increased to 15 million lei, said the Head of the Reintegration Bureau, George Balan, who visited the populated areas on the Dniester River this week.

According to the press service of the Reintegration Bureau, he met the mayors of populated areas in Anenii Noi, Rezina, Dubasari, Criuleni, Causeni and Soldanesti raions, located in the Security Zone. Balan was familiarized with the latest events in the process of Transnistrian conflict settlement, as well as with the current situation in the Security Zone.   

Speaking of the level of project implementation within the frameworks of the Program of Activities for the Reintegration of the Country, financed by international donors, the Head of the Reintegration Bureau said that in 2011-2013, as many as 100 projects for 62 populated areas in the Security Zone, received financing to this end.

“The program of activities on the country’s reintegration is a good practice for supporting the social-economic projects meant to improve the living conditions in the populated areas in the Security Zone, in order to ensure the reintegration of the country. While elaborating these programs, we have taken into consideration, first of all, the suggestions of the local authorities in the Security Zone,” he said.

In his words, the central public authorities will be further paying increased attention to the populated areas in the Security Zone, while carrying out social and economic programs.

The program focuses on financing activities for the development and technical-material modernization of education institutions, maintenance of social assets and water supply systems, street lightening, social protection measures for elderly people and people with disabilities, as well as other activities on the reintegration of the country.
