WINE DAY ORGANIZERS COMMERCIALIZE THE EVENT

One can taste for free wines, presented in the Chisinau main square on the Wine Day on October 6-7, only after buying of a “Ticket of Taster”, which costs 150 lei if bought beforehand and 200 lei – if bought at the very event.

According to one of event organizers – the National Vine and Wine Office (NVWO), this year the Wine Day encourages moderate and responsible consumption of quality wine and will take place under the slogan “Wine From the Soul of Moldova”.

The Ticket of Taster will allow its holder to get: a biodegradable wineglass; trolleybus tickets to unload the city downtown roads for these days; 20% discount on products with the logotype “Wine of Moldova” (capes, T-shirts, tasting glasses). The most important is that due to this ticket, one can taste for free 11 varieties of wine from 4 regions with Protected Geographical Indications, though without exceeding the norm recommended for moderate consumption.

Other visitors should leave hopes that wine producers will propose to them a glass of wine for free, as it happened in previous years. Now, one will have to pay for everything, to stay in queues, seek place to sit and calmly drink and eat on the occasion of the Wine Day.
