DIASPORA DAYS START IN MOLDOVA

The Diaspora Days are taking place in Moldova on August 15-19.

On this occasion, the Presidential Administration, the Parliament and other central public authorities announced Open Door Day on Thursday. Besides, a campaign of blood donation will be organized in the Palace of the Republic.

The official start of the Days will be given on Friday in the Palace of the Republic with participation of state highest officials, representatives of NGOs and diasporas from abroad. At the meeting, it is planned to discuss such topics as “Voting in diaspora”, “Establishing of priorities – joint programs/projects for 2019-2020”, establishing of connections and communication with and for diaspora.

A charitable fair will be organized in the palace, as well as the exhibition “Moldova from everywhere”, while in the evening there will be a concert.

On August 17, diaspora representatives are invited to a picnic to the Costesti tourist complex (Ialoveni). Here, they will participate in teambuilding and sport activities.

On August 19 through 28 the DOR program – children summer camp will be conducted, where 120 young compatriots from 22 world countries will rest there. They will benefit from creative, sport, linguistic and cultural activities, as wel as will meet with popular figures.

Over 200 compatriots who live abroad expressed intention to participate in the Days of Diaspora this year.
