MoF WILL COOPERATE WITH JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT IN FINANCIAL EDUCATION SPHERE

The RM Ministry of Finance signed with the Junior Achievement Moldova organization an agreement on cooperation in the field of financial education. The document is intended to lay the foundation for a sustainable partnership in popularizing public finance and promoting responsible financial behavior of the population.

The Ministry and the JA Moldova will provide mutual assistance in organizing joint events and projects in order to develop the financial skills of young people and involve specialists in mentoring activities.

“The importance of financial education in public finance becomes critical in building a sustainable society. An informed citizen understands not only the basic concepts of personal money management, but also the mechanisms and consequences of financial decisions at the government level. Knowledge in this area allows citizens to evaluate fiscal policy, understand the state budget and actively participate in the democratic process by making informed decisions about spending and taxes,” Finance Minister Petru Rotaru said at the agreement signature ceremony.
