EU DELEGATION TO MOLDOVA TO HOLD A SERIES OF EVENTS FOR EUROPE DAY

The European Union Delegation to Moldova together with the EU Member States’ Embassies will celebrate Europe Day in many districts of the republic. By tradition, the "Village" will open this year in Chisinau on May 9 and in Balti on May 19. They will host educational, creative and interactive events with many surprises for all generations of people.

The events dedicated to Europe Day 2024 will be held under the slogan "Freedom, Peace, Prosperity: EUROPE IS YOU!".

"Europe Day is about and for people, because we mark the values that unite us. Freedom, peace and prosperity are the pillars that define the quality of life of every human being. These pillars also underpin all the policies and decisions of the European Union. To the Republic of Moldova, it is also the day to celebrate the European aspirations of the country and its people. We will continue to support you on this transformative journey of EU integration. This is what Europe Day is about and for,” said Janis Mazeiks, Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova

Events dedicated to Europe Day 2024 will also be organized in Cahul, Ungheni and other localities, in cooperation with EU-funded projects and local authorities. At the same time, from May 1 to 31, the European Film and Culture Festival will be held in several localities, both in towns and villages. Admission is free for everyone who wants to experience European films, dance, exhibitions and music.
