MOLDOVAN BOXER DARIA COZOREZ WINS EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP

Moldovan boxer Daria Cozorez (coach Anatolie Ahmadiev) in the weight category +81 kg became the owner of the gold medal of the European Championship 2024, which ended the day before in Belgrade (Serbia).

As INFOTAG sports correspondent reported, in the final fight Cozorez defeated Kristina Tkacheva from Russia. In addition to the gold medal, the champion was awarded a certificate for 15 thousand dollars.

In 12 weight categories of women's boxing gold medals, in addition to the athlete from Moldova, were awarded to boxers from only five countries, although representatives from 33 countries took part in the championship.

In men's boxing Alexander Paraschev (coach Iurie Paraschev), who competed in the weight category of 63.5 kg, due to an injury could not take part in the final fight, but he was awarded a silver medal and a certificate for $10 thousand. A bronze medal and a certificate for $5 thousand went to Vasile Cebotari (coach Maxim Certicovtev) - category of 71 kg.
