​ENERGY EFFICIENCY FUND TO FINANCE STREET LIGHTING PROJECTS

The Energy Efficiency Fund (FEE) has approved the project on installing street lighting in eight Moldovan localities.

Deputy Minister of Economy Valeriu Triboi said at the Tuesday’s meeting of the FEE that this will demand 11 million lei, 25% of which will be provided by beneficiaries, while the rest – by the Fund.

“Implementation of energy efficiency projects is one of Moldovan Government’s priorities, as the authorities set the goal to develop close partnership with private sector for joint financing of energy efficiency projects”, he reminded.

The project will be implemented in Calarasi and Nisporeni towns, as well as in Sestaci and Oliscani villages in Soldanesti raion [district], Speia village in Anenii Noi raion, Frumusica and Chiselia Mare in Cahul raion, Corlateni village in Riscani raion.
