MFA WORKS INTENSIVELY ON OPENING OF MOLDOVAN EMBASSY IN KAZAKHSTAN IN NEAR FUTURE - DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER MIHAI POPSOI

“The Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is working intensively to open a diplomatic mission in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the near future,” Deputy Prime Minister and head of the MFA Mihai Popsoi said. He told the public TV channel Moldova1 on Thursday evening that the opening of the new embassy will allow Moldova to expand cultural and economic ties with Central Asian countries and, above all, with Kazakhstan, with which Moldova has good partnership relations.

"We are now in the process of opening an embassy in Kazakhstan, where Moldova will have its own diplomatic mission for Central Asian countries. We have long historical ties with Kazakhstan, we have a Moldovan diaspora there, where many Moldovans speak Romanian," the minister said.

He drew attention to the fact that Kazakhstan has large reserves of energy resources, which is important for ensuring Moldova's energy security.
