VITALIE VRABIE APPOINTED AS CUSTOMS SERVICE HEAD

Finance Minister Octavian Armasu signed the decree on appointing Vitalie Vrabie as new Director General of the Moldovan Customs Service.

On Friday morning, the new Director was introduced to the Customs Service staff. 51-year-old Vrabie had held the post of Defense Minister in the period of 2007-2009; then he had been Secretary General of the Democratic Party of Moldova (DP). Before the appointment as Customs Service Head, he had headed the Tracom enterprise.

Vitalie Vrabie has been appointed to this position after former Service head Tudor Balitchi tendered resignation in the end of January.
