SUPPLIERS SELL ELECTRICITY TO CONSUMERS AT ALMOST DOUBLE PRICE

Electricity supplying enterprises of Moldova (Gas Natural Fenosa Furnizare Energie and Furnizare Еnеrgie Electrice Nord) bought almost 1,869 million kWh of electricity in 1H2019, which is 0.8% less than a year before, paying for it 2.048 million lei (+7.5%).

According to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), consumers received this electricity at a total price of 3,273 million lei with average tariff of 1,751 lei per 1 kWh, while the purchasing price was 1,095 lei.

436.6 million kWh or 23.4% electricity worth 695.5 million lei were bought from domestic producers, while the rest – from abroad [Transnistria and Ukraine]. Moreover, the price on foreign electricity (0.944 lei per 1 kWh) is much cheaper than the Moldovan (1.593 lei).

Services on transporting electricity brought to energy enterprises 270 million lei (+3.5%), while energy distribution – 1,086 million (+13.7%).

46.5% of the supplied electricity accounted for household consumers, while 53.5% – for the rest. The level of payments for it accounted for 100.9%.
