NATIONAL BANK GOVERNOR ANCA DRAGU DISCUSSES IN BUCHAREST INTERCONNECTION OF CAPITAL MARKETS OF TWO COUNTRIES

The Governor of the National Bank of Moldova (NBM), Anca Dragu, is discussing in Bucharest the interconnection of the capital markets of the two countries. The NBM press service reported that the national Bank Governor is holding talks with representatives of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), the Financial Supervision Authority (ASF) and the National Bank of Romania on the upcoming interconnection of capital markets, deepening of supervisory mechanisms as well as intervention tools.

"At the stock exchange, it will discuss the trading models on the stock market, the interaction between market operators and the supervisory authority, and the role of the central depository. There will also be a meeting at the Financial Supervisory Authority to discuss the supervision of equity transactions, reporting to the supervisory authority and intervention measures," the statement said.

On Wednesday, Anca Dragu will hold talks with the representatives of the National Bank of Romania, during which they will discuss the supervision of transparency, models of pre-approval of holdings, as well as the regulator's supervision mechanisms and intervention measures. The NBM delegation also includes the bank's vice-presidents Constantin Schendrea and Tatiana Ivanicichina, advisor Alexandru Savva and heads of several NBM departments.
