EXPLOSIVE DEVICE AGAIN REPORTED AT CHISINAU AIRPORT ON WEDNESDAY EVENING

An explosive device was again reported at the Chisinau International Airport on Wednesday evening. Passengers and employees of the airport were evacuated, the process of registration for flights was interrupted. As a result, there were delays in the departure of some flights. After checking, it turned out that the warning was false. This is the third such warning in the past few days. There were also false reports on Saturday night and Sunday night. In addition, on Sunday there was a warning that there was an explosive device on the London-Chisinau plane. As a result, the flight was aborted as a matter of urgency and the plane landed at Iasi airport, from where 220 passengers were taken to Chisinau by buses. The authorities regard these actions as part of Russia's hybrid war against Moldova. False report of a terrorist act is punishable by a fine from 27,500 to 42,500 lei or unpaid work in favor of society for 180 to 240 hours or imprisonment for up to 2 years.
