​MOLDOVAN TANKER TRUCK WITH ETHANOL HAD AN ACCIDENT IN ROMANIA

A Moldovan ethanol tanker truck was involved in an accident in Romania. The accident occurred on Saturday evening in the town of Maresesti, Vrancea county. According to the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the driver was locked in the cabin and died because of the injuries. Four air ambulance teams with two intervention vehicles, a tow truck and an ambulance worked at the scene. Due to the accident, the area was closed to traffic and the scene was cleaned up of ethanol and fuel residue that spilled onto the roadway. Ethanol refers to organic substances in the form of a single-atom alcohol. It is used to make alcoholic beverages.
