NEW PREMIER CONFIRMS MOLDOVA'S COMMITMENT TO REFORM COURSE IN CONFORMITY WITH ASSOCIATION AGREEMENT

The new Government of Moldova is fully committed to its proclaimed course of reforms in accordance with the EU-Moldova Association Agreement, the country's new Prime Minister Ion Chicu stated during his Friday's meeting with foreign ambassadors accredited in Moldova.

The Premier assured the diplomats that the relationship with the European Union and realization of the Association Agreement are remaining the Moldovan Government's main priorities, and that actions to promote reforms will be conducted within the framework of the legislation in force with an account of the opinions of the Venice Commission, the OSCE, the European Union and other organizations.

Ion Chicu stressed that his Government will ensure a balanced dialog with all of Moldova's development partners and will focus its efforts on country development.

"We want to continue an active political, economic, cultural and humanitarian dialog with all the states of the world community, first of all with our traditional strategic partners", said Ion Chicu.

The foreign diplomats appreciated the new Government's readiness and resolution to implement the reform program and to act in citizens' interests.
