PARLIAMENT SPEAKER ZINAIDA GRECEANII CONFIRMED WITH COVID-19

The Speaker of Parliament Zinaida Greceanii was confirmed with the COVID-19, according to the Parliament’s Press Service.

“Greceanii’s testing showed a positive result. The Speaker is receiving treatment at home, under the supervision of the family doctor,” the statement reads.

Parliament Press Service reminds that “under an ordinance made by the Parliament Speaker, the members of Parliament of the tenth legislature must self-isolate at home until they present a COVID-19 negative test result.”

According to unofficial data, more than ten out of 101 deputies have already been ill with COVID-19. At least seven deputies are infected now. For this reason, the Parliament cannot meet in plenary session. Within the framework of the autumn-winter session, the Parliament held only one session - on September 10.
