Several political parties, which emerged instead of the declared unconstitutional party ”Shor,” have created the electoral bloc “Victory.” As reported by INFOTAG, the decision was made on Sunday in Moscow during an event organized by the convicted fugitive oligarch Ilan Shor.

Shor, who has been hiding in Moscow since mid-February, participated in the event. He was elected as the chairman of the bloc, which includes the parties “Renaissance,” “Chance,” “Alternative and Salvation Forces of Moldova,”. The event was attended by leaders of these parties, parliament deputies from the former “Shor” party, former socialist deputy Vasile Shova, Gagauz Bascan Evghenia Gutul, Chairman of the People's Assembly of Gagauzia Dmitry Konstantinov, and other members of the autonomy's Executive Committee. Evghenia Gutul was elected as the bloc's executive secretary, Marina Tauber as the secretary, and the leader of the “Renaissance” party Natalia Parasca as the executive director.

Ilan Shor referred to the event he organized as a ”congress of Moldovan politicians and public figures supporting Moldova's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).”

“The purpose of this meeting was to unify the Moldovan opposition against the enemy, the problems brought by the EU and the leadership of the PAS party.

“Our bloc is called 'Victory,' and it's not just about winning the upcoming elections. After them, real work will begin. And now it's important for reason to prevail. We offer a new path for Moldova. The idea of the EU is a phantom, it is destructive for citizens and for the country. (...) Sandu deliberately cuts the umbilical cord of our ties with the CIS, with Russia, with the EAEU — with traditional partners and neighbors. Our task is to show people working and time-tested alternatives. I've already called them: Russia, EAEU, CIS. That's the direction we will act in,” Shor stated.

Gagauz Bascan Evghenia Gutul stated that the assembled politicians “united to protect Moldova's independence.”

“We will not allow our country to be drawn into military actions, we must preserve our traditional values and restore friendly relations with Russia. (...) We, the residents of Gagauzia, are being tried to be reformatted under a new 'cultural code,’” the bascan said.

The event took place on Sunday at one of the hotels in central Moscow. The stage was adorned with a large banner with the inscription “Victory” in Russian.

In the ruling party “Action and Solidarity,” leaders of the “Victory” bloc created in Moscow were labeled “traitors to the nation,” and the electoral bloc they established was termed ”an organized criminal bloc.”

As reported by INFOTAG, one of the party leaders, Infrastructure Minister Andrei Spinu, wrote about this on social media. “The whole country saw traitors to the nation in Moscow. I think it can be clearly stated that in Moscow, an organized criminal bloc 'Victory' was created. They created it near the Kremlin to make it clear whom they work for and whom they serve. However, not everyone is on the stage. Some are still hiding in Chisinau behind various parties. In the coming years, we must get rid of them,” emphasized Spinu. The press secretary of the PAS party, Adriana Vlas, called the actions of the participants in the Moscow event “a disgrace.”

“It is a disgrace to be in Moscow when the whole world condemns the Kremlin for its barbaric war in Ukraine. Moldova is confidently moving towards EU membership, where peace, prosperity, and fair justice prevail,” Vlas stated.
