Border police asked passengers arriving from Moscow to present their luggage for inspection, but the passengers evaded the control - this is how the border police commented on the delay of passengers on Monday evening at the Chisinau airport.

The border police said in a statement that the passengers "showed resistance and aggressively tried to evade control, addressing insulting and provocative words to customs officers and border guards."

"All subsequent measures were taken in order to maintain public order in the baggage control area. The resistance offered by the citizens caused disruptions in the process of crossing the state border, which led to the congestion of passengers from other flights arriving in Moldova," the police report said.

Border police asked "not to involve the authorities in political disputes" and "to respect security officers."

Social networks wrote that passengers who arrived on Monday night on the Moscow-Yerevan-Chisinau route were subjected to close scrutiny. This is due to the fact that they participated in an event organized by fugitive oligarch Ilan Shor, and on their return they could bring large sums of money to finance the activities of the election bloc "Victory" created in Moscow.
