BORDER POLICE INCREASE NUMBER OF OFFICERS AT CHISINAU AIRPORT

The Border Police (BP) has increased the number of officers at the Chisinau airport to avoid threats to its security. The BP recalled that from May 1 to May 16, the entrance to the airport is possible only for citizens with tickets and for the personnel of the air harbor. The number of control equipment during passenger checks has also been increased. This decision was taken to ensure the safety of passengers and to improve the ability to cope with the increased flow of people arriving and departing from Chisinau during the holiday period. "The measures taken are also necessary given the increase in the number of false bomb threats, as well as the use of the airport terminal for political purposes by some criminal groups, which complicates the work of the security services," the BP said.
