​TRANSNISTRIAN “NGO” IN MOSCOW WORKS OUT FUNDAMENTALS FOR PMR INDEPENDENCE RECOGNITION

“The Politico-Legal Fundamentals of the International Recognition of the Independence of the Transnistrian Moldovan Republic” is the name of the publication presented on Tuesday on the premises of the “Official Representation of the PMR in the Russian Federation” registered in Moscow as a non-governmental organization.

The Transnistrian ministry of foreign affairs has reported that the presentation was attended by Transnistrian foreign minister Vitaly Ignatiev and deputy minister Ruslan Slobodeniuk, Representation office director Leonid Manakov, President of the International Slavic Academy of Sciences, Education, Arts and Culture Sergey Baburin, President of the Russian Advocates Guild Gassan Mirzoyev, President of the Russian Advocacy and Notary Academy Gennady Cheremnykh, diplomatic representatives of Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Nagornii Karabakh, Russian lawyers and political experts.

The presented scientific-information publication came out of print last year, following the results of the namesake international roundtable conference that was held in the Russian Federal Chamber of Lawyers on November 21, 2017. It has comprised the scientific reports made at that forum, as well as opinions and expert assessments, addresses made by Transnistrian leadership representatives etc.

According to Transnistria’s chief negotiator with Chisinau Vitaly Ignatiev, the presentation participants discussed in detail the practical steps aimed at consolidation of Transnistria’s international positions in the relationships with the Russian Federation and on the international arena.

“The presentation’s chief objective was to show the result the Transnistria-done work for achieving the PMR’s international recognition. This is an applied publication containing answers to many questions pertaining to the legal grounds for Transnistria’s independence that are very important in the ongoing polemic with the representatives of other countries”, Vitaly Ignatiev said to journalists afterwards, and stressed that over last several years a powerful team of friends to Transnistria has formed in Russia consisting of political scientists, profiled experts, international law jurists, lawyers etc.
