​CHISINAU SCHOOLGIRL WINS BRONZE AT HIGH SPEED TELEGRAPHY CHAMPIONSHIP

Laura-Andreea Schimbator - student of Hiperion Lyceum in Durlesti suburban community of Chisinau won bronze medal at the 12th IARU High Speed Telegraphy World Championship HST-2015 that ended in Ohrid, Macedonia.

The event gathered sportsmen and sportswomen from 19 countries.

Representative of Moldova, whose call sign was ER1LAU ranked the third in the individual test transmission (TX). The disciple of the coach Valentin Ciribas expressed satisfaction with the result, adding that without the school radio club, where she had her first lesson in telegraphy and learned the first letter of the Morse code, she probably would never knew what the ham radio is.

The founder of the Radioclub,eng. Andrei Ciobanu, call sign ER1AC, offered a special gift to the medalist - a portable shortwave HB-1A radio station and Bencher Morse key for daily workouts in telegraphy.
