BALTI UNIVERSITY STUDENTS TO LEARN HUNGARIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE
The Hungarian language will be introduced in the curriculum of the Balti State University starting from the new academic year. The Hungarian professor Tivadar Palagyi will be teaching this course.
According to the university website, the training will be accessible to everyone as optional language, as it is already happening with Polish, Chinese, Yiddish languages.
"We met with professor, discussed the possibilities for students from Balti to benefit from Masters' studies in Hungary within the Erasmus Program. He agreed to start teaching our students Hungarian language and culture", said university President Ion Gajim.
Tivadar Palagyi is professor of Budapest University ELTE, where he heads the French Language Chair. He speaks 13 languages: Russian, Hungarian, Romanian, French, Italian, German, English, Slovak, Polish, Serbian and Spanish, as well as knows Latin and Ancient Greek.
Palagyi is Doctor of French Literature and Byzantine and Ottoman Research. He teaches languages in Hungarian universities for already more than 27 years. He also held linguistic courses in Russian, Romanian and Turkish universities.
