MOLDOVA STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS HOLDING FILM FESTIVAL

Short-length film premieres, created in the within the academic process, are demonstrated by students of the faculty of Journalism, Radio and Television of Moldova State University within festival “Debut” on Thursday.

According to the union of student filmmakers, the movies’ are of documentary and art-house genre.

“All the films were created by students to get experience and develop professional activity. The length of films varies from 5 to 28 minutes. We believe that films are worth publishing and public assessment. In future, graduates will present these projects at their theses defending”, said student Anastasia Stepanova.

According to her, the films depict everyday life of Moldovans and the country amenities.

“The festival includes screening of 13 films, while on November 17, an evening of meetings with outstanding personalities of the Moldovan filmmaking industry will be held on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the film studio “Moldova Film”, she said.

The “Debut” festival is being held on November 16-17 in the Odeon cinema. The admission is free.
