CHISINAU MUNICIPAL AUTHORITIES TO REPAIR STAIRS IN VALEA MORILOR PARK WITH ROMANIA FUNDS

The Bucharest authorities will grant 920.4 thousand euros for the repair of stairs in the municipal Valea Morilor Park in Chisinau. On Tuesday, the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) agreed to receive the money.

The project involves reconstruction of the stairs, lightening installation and felling of old trees. It is planned to reconstruct the stairs within a year.

It is part of the Romanian assistance program “Valea Morilor Park Reconstruction” with the total budget of 54 million lei (2.6 million euros); the contribution of the Chisinau budget is 5%.

Socialist Alexander Odintov emphasized that back in 2016 the repair works budget was 71 million lei, that is why the Accounts Chamber and the National Anti-Corruption Center (NACC) need to find out how were spent the rest 20 million lei.
