SPECIAL COMMISSION TO CHECK LEGALITY OF MOLDOVAN MEDICAL EDUCATION DIPLOMAS

05 december, 2018

A special commission will check the legality of diplomas, issued by the Moldova State University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The inspection is due to the appearance of information that a group of doctors was detained in Israel and they demonstrated fake diplomas, stating they got them in Moldova and Armenia.

According to the Moldovan Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, beside ministry specialists, the commission will also include representatives of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sciences. The commission will check the documents of University graduates from the moment of their enrollment in the institution till the issuing of Licentiate diplomas.

The university said that Moldova is unreasonably mentioned in journalist materials and pharmacists in Israel, which damages the image of the country and the higher education institution. Moreover, there were no requests from the Israel's authorities for diploma authentication.

Infotag's dossier: 40 doctors and pharmacists were detained in Israel, who were working for several years on the basis of diplomas, issued in Moldova and Armenia. The materials of journalist investigations say that the detained doctors got the diplomas over 2 years of education instead of the necessary 4-6 years.
