ABOUT 250 MOLDOVAN STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN WORLD SCHOLAR’S CUP

On Wednesday, March 13, about 250 Moldovan schoolchildren take part in the second edition of the international academic competition World Scholar’s Cup on awareness of topical issues and problems.

According to the Heritage international school, which hosts the regional stage of the competition in Moldova, the competition aims at teaching children to work in a team.

“The competition is attended by the students aged 10-14 from 26 educational institutions of Moldova. They are divided into 82 teams. The competition is held in four stages: team debates, general knowledge test, team literary work and the main stage – Scholar’s Bowl. The competition is held in English. The topic of 2019 – A World on the Margins”, said the Heritage representative.

The best team will visit one of the USA research universities to demonstrate their knowledge among 50 teams from other countries.

The competition consists of six thematic categories of questions: Special Domain, History, Science, Art and Music, and Literature. The cost of participation is 150 lei.

The competition is designed to identify future scholars and leaders and unlock their potential by bringing together students from different cultures to discuss the problems and ideas of our time.
