NATIONAL BANK ANNOUNCES ANNIVERSARY AND COMMEMORATIVE COINS SKETCHES COMPETITION 2021

The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) announced on Thursday a competition for sketches of jubilee and commemorative coins of the 2021 issue. Citizens over 18 years old, as well as legal entities, can participate in it. In 2021, the NBM intends to issue six coins - on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Vasile Alexandri, the 150th anniversary of Nicolae Jorga, the 30th anniversary of the proclamation of Independence of RM, the 100th anniversary of Mihai Eminescu National Theater, the 100th anniversary of Eugen Koseriu. The NBM is going to immortalize in a coin the flower "hepatica noble," included in the Red Book of Moldova. Projects are accepted no later than until October 9th. The winners will receive awards from 5,000 to 7,500 lei.
