​TEAM “SFINTUL GHEORGHE” DROPPS OUT OF EUROPA LEAGUE

The club "Sfintul Gheorghe" from Suruceni lost yesterday in the second qualifying round of the Europa League to Serbian "Partizan" 0:1 and stopped participating in the tournament. The only goal was scored against the home team at the 104th minute in extra time, after the Estonian referee drew a controversial penalty. Of the four Moldovan clubs that started in the European competitions of the 2020-2021 season, only Sheriff (Tiraspol) continues to participate in them. On September 24, it will play away against Dundalk (Ireland) in the third qualifying round of the Europa League.
