CHISINAU MAYOR AND JAPANESE AND KOREAN NGO REPRESENTATIVES DISCUSS HUMANITARIAN COOPERATION

On Friday, Chisinau Mayor Ion Ceban discussed questions of humanitarian cooperation with the representatives of the non-governmental organizations of Peace Winds Japan and Peace Winds Korea.

He wrote in social networks afterwards that an agreement will be signed shortly between the Chisinau Primaria [city government], the Municipal Health and Social Assistance Department and the said two organizations.

According to him, the Japanese and Korean NGOs “will provide support to the Primaria for the development of projects involving young people in start-up programs and exchange of experience.”

He wrote that Peace Winds has provided significant support since the start of the refugee crisis here, providing the Patria-Lukoil accommodation center with food, hygiene products and other items that were sent to Ukrainian refugees. At the same time, a medical team from Peace Winds provides consultations and medical assistance to refugees settled in Chisinau, including the provision of medicines.
