RUSSIA REMOVES MOLDOVAN GREEN PEAS FROM MARKET

10 july, 2014

Russia withdraws from its trade networks the canned green peas, produced by Moldovan enterprise Fortuna Plus, without formulating concrete questions to its producer.

According to the Company Director Ilia Vinerub, on July 7, 2014, the Russian sanitary-epidemiological surveillance service has published the decision on removing from market canned green peas, produced by the Fortuna Plus Company from Criuleni.

The document said that according to the results of the laboratory expertise, the product does not meet necessary requirements.

The company’s top manager said that Russian companies begin to avoid cooperation with Moldovan producers.

Representatives of canning enterprises, interviewed by the Infotag, compare the current situation with the Russian embargo on wine in 2006-2007.

“Now the situation is developing in a similar way. Another problem is the fact that at the beginning of the season, we have taken credits from banks for purchasing raw materials. The sales market loss will make the repayment of credits more difficult”, said director of a plant, mentioning that due to the loss of Russian market in 2006-2007, the Government contributed to restructuring credits for winemakers.

Infotag’s dossier: On the eve of signing the EU Association Agreement, Russian authorities have warned that Moldovan exporters may encounter difficulties on the Russian market. For example, the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has stated that he does not exclude appearance of new risks, connected with change of the trade regime with Moldova and Ukraine. The Russian Government intends to announce about measures to be taken for protecting their market on July 16, 2014.

probabil ca si la rusi s-a facut multa mazare in acest an, si ei nu doresc sa scoata din tara rezervele valutare de aceea procedeaza astfel.
