​STATE BUDGET REVENUES IN EARLY SEPTEMBER WERE 285.5 MILLION LEI (US$19.7 MILLION) LESS THAN PLANNED

Revenues to the state budget made 17,499 million lei (US$1.2 billion) in early September, which is 1.6% (285.5 million lei) less than planned.

According to the Ministry of Finance data, budget revenues increased by 29.3% (3,962 million lei) against similar period of 2013.

The main revenues are 1% less than planned – 15,488 million. With all this, revenues from projects, financed from foreign sources, increased by 2.3% - to 1.35 billion lei, 1,322 million of which are foreign grants (by 702.3 million more than last year).

The budget expenditures are 17,763 million lei (US$1,225 million), which is 13.7% (2,831 million) less than planned, but 24.7% more than the last year expenditures.

The state budget deficit made almost 264 million lei and was covered mainly from state securities sales (286.8 million lei), external loans (1,157 million lei), funds from selling and privatization of the state property (146 million lei).

Moldova’s external debt grew by US$30.9 million over 8 months, exceeding US$1,321 million by the end of August. For its servicing and repayment the state allocated 637.4 million lei (US$43.9 million) – 100.1% from the planned sum.

The internal debt increased by 240.2 million lei and reached 6, 916 million lei. The state directed 237.1 million lei for its servicing, which is 7.5% less than planned.
