​TRADE BETWEEN MOLDOVA AND ROMANIA INCREASES BY $1 BILLION

Trade turnover between Moldova and Romania increased 2.5 times to $1.604 billion over the past four years.

Representatives of the Romanian Embassy say that, last year, exports to the Republic of Moldova exceeded $1.1 billion and imports of $500 million. Thereby, Moldova was ranked second in the trade of Romania with the countries of Eastern Europe’s exports with a share of 24.8% and fourth in imports from 6.7%.

Compared to 2013, the trade volume increased by 16%, including export – 16.26%, and imports by one in 15.43%. the trade balance was in Romania’s favor with $604 million.
